Un saluto ed un augurio di benvenuti da parte mia e di tutta la comunita' lametina del Canada a tutti voi che siete arrivati a visitare queste pagine. Lusingato della vostra visita ed orgoglioso del nostro lavoro con immenso piacere mi presento a voi in qualita' di presidente del Lametini dell'Ontario Social Club.
. Sono passati ormai parecchi anni da quel 1990, anno di fondazione del lametini di Toronto Social Club, ed abbiamo visto alternarsi alla direzione del Club gente entusiasta e felice di portare avanti un lavoro dignitoso, ma che io definirei favoloso, in seno alla nostra comunita' lametina. Nel corso di questi anni, grazie all'audacia dei vari comitati direttivi, siamo riusciti a promuovere moltissime attivita' sociali, culturali, religiose, e ricreative. Abbiamo organizzato e distribuito borse di studio per i nostri giovani che si apprestavano ad entrare nelle scuole superiori o alle varie universita'. Parecchi di questi giovani oggi sono affermati professionisti.
. Giunti nell'era dell'elettronica e dell'Internet abbiamo sentito il bisogno di allargare il nostro discorso a tutti i lametini residenti in Canada, nel Nord America e nel resto del mondo con questo sito web, iniziativa che, a nostro giudizio, dovrebbe facilitare la comunicazione e la promozione di idee sociali e culturali. Inoltre mi fa piacere ricordare la nostra gita in Italia nel 2009, una iniziativa che vale la pena ripetere nei prossimi anni.
A questo punto rivolgo una preghiera a tutti voi, che navigate in questo sito, a comunicare con noi, a condividere le vostre idée, a farci conoscere le vostre origini, a mantenere il contatto. Forse un giorno potremmo organizzare un evento in cui noi lametini sparsi nel mondo possiamo incontrarci, preferibilmente a Lamezia Terme e festeggiare insieme le esperienze che abbiamo accumulato in giro per il mondo.
Con piacere vi ringrazio immensamente per il vostro tempo speso a leggere il sito dei Lametini del Canada e vi prego di diffondere la conoscenza del sito a chiunque ed ovunque.
Un caloroso abbraccio a tutti i lametini nel mondo ed un sentito ringraziamento ai presidenti che mi hanno preceduto, Tony Folino, Nicola Isabella e l' indimenticabile Michele Bonadio. Senza la loro visione e la loro accurata dirigenza il nostro club non sarebbe certamente arrivato a festeggiare i 20 e piu' anni di esistenza.
Nel 2011 i membri del club hanno votato per cambiare il nome del club in Lametini dell'Ontario Social Club affinche' il nome in se stesso raccolga tutti i lametini residenti in qualsiasi angolo della provincia ed ora vi anncunciamo che il nome e' stato cambiato ufficialmente e legalmente.

Greetings and and a warm welcome from the entire 'Lametini community in Canada to all of you who have come to visit these pages. Flattered by your visit and proud of our work with great pleasure I would like to introduce myself as the president of the Lametini dell'Ontario Social Club
. A few years have gone by since 1990, the year the Lametini Social Club of Toronto was incorporated, and we have since seen an exciting group of people ready , willing and happy to manage the affairs of the club and to lead our Lametini community. During these years, thanks to the spirit of the various steering committees, we have succeeded in carrying forward many initiatives specifically designed to promote social, cultural, religious, and recreational activities. Among the many initiatives I like to mention the scholarships for our young people who were preparing to enter high schools or universities in Canada. Many of those young people today have become valid professionals and continue to carry the Lametini name in high esteem in the entire canadian society. Furhtermore I need to mention our trip to Italy in 2009, a venture that claims to be repeated in future years.
Now that we have reached the Internet age, we feel the need to broaden our discussion to all Lametini residents in Canada, North America or the rest of the world with this website. We believe this should facilitate the communication and the promotion of social and cultural ideas among all proud Lametini resident all over the world.
At this point I would appeal to all of you who surf this site to communicate with us, to share your ideas with us, to let us know about your roots, to keep in touch with us. Maybe one day we might organize an event in which we Lametini around the world can gather, preferably in LameziaTerme, to celebrate together the various experiences we have accumulated around the world.
